An Ordinance providing for the improvement of Walrut Street in
the City of Edmonds from Fifth Street to Tenth Street by clearing
and gradirg to a proper grade a strip thirty (30) feet in width in
the center of said i.alrut Street, makirg the necessary fills and
doirg all other worI: necessary to make a complete improvement in
accordance with Resolution. No.44 of the City of Edmonds; creating
an assessment district; creating a Local Improvemert District.Furd
therefor and providing that paymert for such improvement be Mae
by special assessment on said district under the mode of "Payment
by Bord".
WHEREAS, by Resolution lo.44 of the City of Edmords the City
Council of said City has declared its irter_tior to order the im-
provement as above outlined, ara doing all other Work necessary
in correction. therewith to make a complete improvement in accord-
4ree with the plays &rd specifications prepared by the City Engineer.

SECTIOF 1: That Walnut Street in the City of Edmonds from
,:,fifth Street to Terth Street, be improved by clearing and grading
to proper grade a strip thirty (30) feet in width in the certer
of said Walnut Street, making the necessary fills and doing all
other work recessary to make a complete improvement in accordance
with the plans and s�ecifieatiors prepared under the directior
of the City Engireer; which plans and specilicatior_:s are hereby
adopted and approvedT
SECTION 2: That the costs and expenses of such improvement
shall be borr..e by and assessed agairst the property included in
the assessmert district hereir created it accordance with law.
SECTIOL 3: There is hereby established a Local Improvement
District to be calle4 Local Improvement District Lo.42, which
district shall irclu a the following described property, towit:

SECTIOE 4:
A special ford
is hereby created to be
called Local Improve-
mert
District Fund lo.42, which shell consist
in the aggregate of
the
several amounts assessed, levied and collected
or, the several
lots
and parcels of lard in said Local Improvement District, and
the
proceeds of the sale of the Bonds of the
said District for the
purpose
of defrayirg�the costs and experses,of
such improvement.
Out
of said furl shall be paid the Bonds, the
interest thereon ara
the
ertire cost of such improvement.
SECTIOI: 5: The costs and expenses of such improvement shall be
defrayed by special assessmerts, payable in ter_ (10) equal annual
irstallmerts with interest thereon at the rate of eight- (8%) percert
per arrum under the mode of "Payment by Bondg", as provided by law
and the Ordinances of said City. Bonds bearing interest at the
rate of eight (8%) pOrcert per ar_rum payable or or before twelve
(12) years from date 'of issue shall be issued it paymert of the
coat and expense of Such improvement, or the City of Edmonds may,
at its electior, sell said Boras and make paymert it cash in the
manrer provided by the Ordinances of said City.
