f- An Ordinance providing for the establishing of the grade of
ialnat Street from Fifth Street to Sixth Street; and establishing
of the grade of Maple Street from Sixth Street to Fifth Street; and
establishing the grade of Fifth Street from Bell Street to Edmonds
Street.
UAFRT; S, the City Council of Edmonds has determined that public
necessity demands t ^:.j the grade of Walnut Street from Fifth Street
to Sixth Street; and the grade of Maple Street from Sixth Street to
Fifth Street; and Fifth Street from Bell Street to Edmonds Street,
of the City, of Edmonds be established,r_ow therefore,
The City of Edmonds does ordair:
SECTIOI, 1: That the grade of Walnut Street fromFifth Street
to Sixth Street in the City of Edmor_ds be, and. the same is, hereby
tablished as follows:
,l Grade elevation 85.0 at East side of Fifth Street, thence on
three percent. grade to elevation 86.5 at 50 East of Fifth Street;
thence on vertical curve 100 feet to elevation 92.5 at 150 feet,
Fast of Fifth St eet; thence on 9 percent. grade to elevation 117.25
at 425 feet East of Fifth Street; thence or a vertical curve for 150
feet to elevation 126..25 at 25 feet 'Nest of Sixth Street; thence on
a 3 percent. grade for 25 feet to elevation 127.00 at Southwest
correr of Walnut and Sixth Street.
The base for these elevations is the top of concrete sidewalk
nearest the E orthwest corner of Sixth and Walnut Streets which is
taken as elevation 125.9 feet.
Grade on Lorth s' de of Walnut Street from Fifth Street to Sixth
Street. Grade a evat..on 83.8 at east Side of Sixth Street; thence
on 4.2 percent. grade for 50 feet to elevation 85.9 at 50 feet East
of Fifth Street; thence on a vertical curve for 100 feet to elevation
92.5 at 150 feet East of F-fth Street; thence on a 9 percent. grade
to elevation 117.25 at 425 feet East of Fifth Street; thence on a
vertical curve far 150 feet to elevation 125.42 at 25 feet West of
Sixth Street; thence on a 1.9 percent. grade for 25 feet to elevation
125.9 at the lorthwest corner of Sixth Street and Walnut Street.
The base for these elevations is the top of concrete sidewalk
nearest the lorthwest corner of Sixth Street and Walnut Street
which is taken as elevation 125.9 feet.
SECTIOI 2: That the grade of Maple Street from. Fifth Street
to Sixth Street be, .-d the same is, hereby established as follows:
Grade elevation at Sixth Street 107.2; thence West on a 0.517
percent. grade for -'0 feet to elevation 105.96; thence on a ver-
tical curve for 100 feet to elevation 100.2; ther_ce or, ar 11 per-
cent. grade for 260 feet to elevation 71.6 at Lortheast corner of
Fifth and Maple Streets, both sides of Street to be the same ele-
vation except that on South side of Maple Street from a point 11
feet East of Fifth Street, and the grade shall run on a 2 percent.
grade to elevation 72.6 at Southeast corner of Fifth and Maple
Streets. The base for these elevations is the top of curb at
Best side of of Sixth Street which is elevation 107.2.
SECTIOI 3: That the grade of Fifth Street from Bell Street
to Edmords Street be, and the same is, hereby established as
follows:
Grade on ,Jest side of Fifth Street fromBell Street to Edmonds
Street; grade at lorthwest correr of Fifth and Bell Street eleva-
tion 79.2; thence or a 4 percent. grade for 55 feet to elevation
81.4; thence on a 1.4'1) percent grade forr 175 feet to elevation
84.00; thence on 3.08 percent grade for 130 feet to elevation 80.00
at Southwest correr of Fifth and Edmonds Streets.
The base for this grade is the top of sidewalk at Lortheast
corner of fifth and Bell Streets, which is elevation 81.16.
Grade or East side of Fifth Street from Bell to Edmonds Street;
Grade at lortheast correr of Fifth and Bell Streets elevation top of
present concrete walk elevation 81.16; thence on a 1.55 percent.
grade for 200 feet to elevation 84.27 which is tap of present con-
crete walk; thence le-vel across intersecting street; therce on a
2.77 percent. grade to elevation 81.5 at Southeast corner of Fifth
and Edmonds Streets.
