An Ordirance adopting the Budget of and levying general
taxes for the City of Edmonds, Washir:gton for the fiscal year
comencirg January 1, 1940 or, all taxable property, both real
and personal, it said city, for the prupose of raisiLg sufficient
revenue to carry or, the different departments of said City for
the ersuing year, as required by law, appropriating the same to the
several funds for said fiscal year and providing for the collection
thereof.

fore adopted its prelimirary Budget for the Year 1940, and
WHE Ei,� , a hearing thereon, pursuant to r:otice giver_ as
required by law, we,c held -on the second day of October, 1909,
ar._d said final Budget having been adopted and the Council having
determined the amount of general taxes necessary to be levied
for the ersuirg year, and havir:g apportioned the same as herein-
after set forth, 1017, TH=ORE,

The City Council of the City of Edmonds does Ordain as
SECTIOT 1: That the Budget for the City of Edmords for
the year 1940 is hereby adopted and the total appropriations and
the taxes levied therefor shall be apportior_ied to the various

SECT10 2: That there be and there is hereby levied on all
the real and personal property of the City of Edmonds, subject to
taiation therein, a general tax for nuricapal purposes for the
ensuing year commercing January 1st, 1940, the sum of Seven Thous-
and Three Hundred Forty-five ($7,345.00) Dollars.
SECTIOL 3: This Ordirarce shall be certified to, the proper
County officials as provided by Lair, and the taxes herein levied
shall be collected and paid into `the City Treasury of the City of
Edmords, at the time and in the manner provided by the Laws of the
State of Washington for the collections of taxes for Third Class
Cities.
