An Ordinance adopting and ievying the general taxes for the City
of Edmonds, 17ashington, for the fiscal year commencing January 1st,
1941, on all property, bothireal and personal, in the City subject to
taxation for the purpose of raising sufficient 'revenue to. carry on
the several departments of said 'City for the ensuing year as reglaised
by law; appropriating the same to the several funds for said fiscal
year, and providing for the collection thereof.
WHEREAS the City Council.of the 'City of Edmonds, 'State of "Washington,
having heard all persons asking to be heard for and against the pre-
liminary budget, heretofore adopted for the ensuing year, due notice
having been given as'required by law and now this 7th, day of October,
1940, the final budget having been adopted and the'Couneil having
determined the amount necessary to be paid on the current assessment
roll as general taxes for the ensuing year and appropriating the same
as --in this Ordinance described,therefore;

SECTION 2. That there be and there is hereby levied on all the'real
and personal property of the City of Edmonds, sublect to taxation
therein, a general tax for Manieip'al purposes for the 'ensuing year
commensing January 1st, 1941, the sum of Ten Thousand Your hundred
Fourty'Seven ($10,447,03) Dollars.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be Certified to the proper County
Offiaials as provided by law,atd the taxes -herein levied shall be
collected and paid into the City Treasurer of the City of'Edmonds,
at the time and the manner provided by the laws of the State of
Washington for the Collection of thxes for Third Clas Cities.
