An Ordinance rel&.ting to discharging, exploding, use, purchase,
and sale of firecrackers, fireworks, and other powder explosives,
and providing a penalty for the violation thereof.
The City of Edmonds does Ordain:
Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person to fire,
discharge, explode, use, purchase, sell or offer for -sale any
squib, firecracker, torpedo, dynamite cane or other fireworks or
powder explosive containing black powder or chlorate of potash
within the limits of the City of Edmonds; provided, however, that
there may be public displays of fireworks for public purposes or
public ocassions under the joint supervision or control of the
Pir:e Chief and the Chief of Police.
Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation convicted of any
violation of this Ordinance shall upon_ such conviction_ be pun-
ished by a fine of npt to exceed ten Dollars ($10.00) or by
both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect upon its passage and publication as provided by
