An ORDINANCE p_•oviding for the payment by the Park Department of
the City of Edmonds to Edmonds School District No. 15 for the purchase of cer-
tain real property hereinafter described; providing for the issuance of emergency
warrants in payment thereof, and declaring an emergence.
WHEREAS: The City Park Department of the City of Edmonds had budgeted
less than the sum required for the purchase of certain real property hereinafter
described, the same to be purchased from Edmonds School District No. 15, and
WHEREAS: It was desirable and necessary that the same be purchased
at the price of $1, 800. 00, and
WHEREAS: At the time the City budget was made, the expenditure of the
said sum could not reasonably have beer, foreseen, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMO NDS DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the City of Edmondi will purchase from Edmonds School
District No. 15 the following described real property located in the City of
Edmonds, Washington:
Lots One (1), Two (2), Nine (9), and Ten (10), in
Block Six (6), Yost's First Addition to Edmonds,
according to the records now on file in the office
of the County Audi or, Snohomish County, Wash.
Section 2. An emergency is hereby declared to exist with regard to the
purchase of the above -descr J,ed p=ope^ty wherein the expenditure of the sum of
$1, 800.00 for the purchase of the said property could not reasonably have been
foreseen at the time the City budget was made and passed.
Section 3. That the estimated cost and expenditure required therefor
is in the sum of One Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars (=1, 800.00), which sum
shall be paid by the issuance of emergency warrants drawn therefor.
Sect,un 9. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and pub ication
as required by law.
