AN ORDINANCE, providing for the payment of the sum of $2, 575.00
for the purchase of a Warco-type grader, providing for the issuance of emergency
warrants in payment thereof and declaring an emergency.
WHEREAS, at the time the present annual budget for the City of Edmonds
iwas passed, :�n adequate sum for all reasonable purchases for street equipment
was budgeted, and
WHEREAS, an opportunity has arisen to purchase a Warco-type grader
that is greatly needed and sufficient funds were not budgeted therefor, and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the reserve for new equipment
fund which were not budgeted to purchase the same,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS
DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the City of Edmonds shall pay not more tha ► the sum of
$2, 575. 00 for the nurchase of a Warco-type grader.
Section 2. An emergency is hereby declared to exist with regard to the
proposed purchase and there are no funds budgeted to pay for the said equipment.
Section 3. That there is sufficient funds in the reserve for new equipment
in the Street Department and this is an opportune time to spend the same to pur-
chase the required equipment.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publica-
tion as required by law.
