AN ORDINANCE, providing for the payment of the sum of $324.41
for census taking at the request of the County, providing for the issuance of
an emergency warrant in payment thereof, and declaring an emergency.
WHEREAS, at the time the present annual budget for the City of
• Edmonds was passed, an adequate sum for all reasonable expenditures was
budgeted, and
WHEREAS, the County requested that the City of Edmonds assist
them in taking a city -wile census in order to help them determine whether
or not Snohomish County shall become a first class county, and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds was assured that the cost would be
nominal for the same, and
WHEREAS, the cost fur actually taking the census was $324.41, and
WHEREAS, there were no funds budgeted to pay for such a pro, ect,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the City of Edmonds shall pay for the taking of the
said census in the sum of $324.41 and the City Treasurer is hereby directed
to issue an emc.,1crency warrant in that amount to pay for the same.
Section 2. Au emergency is hereby declared to exist with regard to
the taking of the said census as there are no funds budgeted to pay the cost
of the same.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and
publication as required by law. __ >
