Ordinance 671• ORDINANCE NO. 671 AN ORDINANCE VACATING THAT PORTION OF HEMLOCK STREET DEEDED TO THE CITY OF EDMONDS, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: That portion of the unimproved 30 -foot right-of-way of Hemlock Street between Eighth Avenue and Ninth Avenue adjacent to property described as vacated Blocks 6 and 8 of the Kellogg Plat to Edmonds, as recorded in Vol. 2 of Plats, Page 42, records of Snohomish County, Washington. WHEREAS, the Owners of 100% of the private property abutting upon the portion of Hemlock Street, hereinafter described, in the City of Edmonds, duiv filed their petition with the City Council of the City of Edmonds, praying for the vacation of the said portion of Hemlock Street, on May 17, 1055, and WHEREAS, the said Council of the said City did, by resoluti( .i duly adopted on the 6th day of September, 1955, set the 4t h da; of October, 1955, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. of said day, for the hearing and determination of said petition, and WHEREAS, due and legal notice of the time and place of hearing and the determination of said petition has been duly given b_ the City Clerk as required by law, and WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that the said petition should be granted and the said Counci 1 does hereby determine to vacate • the said portion of Hemlock Street, hereinafter described, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS DOES HEREBY ORDAIN: - 1 - ,ect ion 1. That the port i on of Heml ock St reet deeded to the City of Edmonds describes as fol lows: That portion of the ,unimproved 30 -foot right-of-way of Hemlock Street between Eighth Avenue and Ninth • Avenue adjacent to property described as vacated Blocks 6 and 8 of the Kellogg Plat to Edmonds, as recorded in Vol. 2 of Plats, Page 42, re-ords of Snohomish County, Washington, be and the same is hereby vacated, and the title to the land in the said portion of Hemlock Street, hereinbefore described, is hereby declared to rest in the owners of the abutting property: PROVIDED, the said City of Edmonds hereby reserves and retains an easement 20 feet in width along the center of the said vacated street, said easement for all utilities purposes.
