AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the execution by the CITY OF EDMONDS
of a contract by and between the CITY OF EDMONDS and SNOHOMISH COUNTY
FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO. 1.,, stating the term thereof and fixing
is the compensation to be paid therefor.
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds is desirous of entering into a
coni sct agreement with Snohomi s.i County Fire Protection District No. 13,
and
WHEREAS, the term of such agreement and the compensation to be
pu.d therefor Iias peen agreed upon by and betwc. n the said Ci ty of Edmonds
and t -•e Fire District, and
WHEREAS, specific authority for entering into such an agreement
is granted by Section 6 (3) of Chapter 254 of the Session Laws of 1947 of the
State of Washington (R. C. W. 52.08. 030),
NOW, TH1 BEFORE, The Ci ty Council of t he City of Edmonds does
ordain:
Section 1. That the Mayor and the Clerk of the said City of Edmonds
are hereby authorized to execute a contract agreement by and between the
said City of Edmonds and the Snohomish County Fire Protection District
No. 13.
Section 2. Under said contract the City will agree to furnish fire
protection to the said District from December 1, 1955, until December S1,

Section 3. The said F.re District shall pa- io the City of Edmonds
the sum of $100. 00 per month during the t erm of the said contract.
Section 4. The City Attorney is directed to prepare such a contract,
incorporating the provisions set forth herein and such other provisions as shall
• be necessary to carry out the terms of the said contract between the City and
the said Fire District.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and
publication as r. luired by law.
