AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF ED-
MONDS, WASHINGTON, UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF 1945,
CHAPTER 12J RCW SECTIONS 35.13. 130, 35, 13. 140, and 35.13. 150, AND
COMPLYING WITH THE PROCEDURE THEREIN SET FORTH
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That there has been filed with the City Council a petition in
writing signed by the owners of more than seventy-five per cent (75%) of the
assessed value of the said property according to the assessed valuation of the
real property described in said petition; that the said petition sets forth a legal
description of the said property; that the said petition was accompanied by a
plat or drawing outlining the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed.
Section 2. That Tuesday, June 4, 1957, was set as a date for a public
hearing or said petition; that notice of such hearing has been published in the
Edmonds Tribune -Review, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Edmonds; that notice of such hearing was also posted in three (3) public places
within the territory proposed for annexation; that said notices specified the time
and place of such hearing and invited interested persons to appear and voice ap-
proval or disapproval of the annexation; that the expense of publication and post-
ing of said notices was born by the signers of the petition.
Section 3. That the following described property, located in the County
of Snohomish, State of Washington, to -wit:
All of the East half o, the East Half of the Southwest quarter of Section 25,
Townsuip 27 No rth, Range 3 East, W. M., less the north 2. 50 acres lying north
of the County Road (220th, S. W. ); TOGETHER with the Sou -."1 half of the Northwest
quarter of the Northwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of section 3fa township
1 27 north, Range 3 East, W. M., lying northerly of S. S. H. 01-W; TOGETHER with
the Plat of Westgate Park, Division No. 1, according to plat thereof, records of
Snohomish County, Washington;
be and the same is hereby annnxed to the City of Edmonds, effective the /C,7 --
