Ordinance 891ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, MORE SPECIFICALLY OFFICIAL MAP ''A1' ANIi'B1" (DESIGNATED THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN) OF SAID CITY, TO INCORPORATE THE ZONING OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE SAID CITY, ADOPTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE EDMONDS PLANNING COMMISSION FOR SUCH ZONING, AND AUTHORIZING THE ENGINEER TO EFFECT NECESSARY • ----CHANGES_-- -------------------- WHEREAS, on June 27, 1961, the City Council of the City of Edmonds passed Ordinance No. 887 of said City, annexing certain real property to the City, and WHEREAS, such property is in need of zoning, and • !J WHEREAS, certain recommendations for such zoning have been made by the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, and WHEREAS, the zoning of the property will require an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Edmonds, Washington, and WHEREAS, after a full and complete hearing before the Planning Commis- sion of the City of rumonds, said Planning Commission did by Resolution Na '/'7' recommend to the City Council of the City of Edmonds the zoning of the said property into use districts as hereinafter set forth, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the property to be zoned is described as iollows: Beginning at a point on the City Limits of Edmonds at the intersection of the west line of Primary State Highway No. 1 and the north line of 224th St. S. W.; thence east to the intersection of the easterly line of primary State Highway No. 1 with the north line of 224th St. S.W.; thence east slong the north line of 224th Street S.W. to the west line of the Pacific Northwest Traction Company R/W; thence southerly along said west line of the Pacific Northwest Traction Company R/W to the north line of southeast quarter of southwest quarter cf southwest quarter, sec. 29,twp.27 NR 4, EWM, said line being the City limits of Mountlake Terrace under Ordinance No. 234; thence west along said city limits to the northwest corner of aforesaid southeast quarter of southwest quarter of southwest quarter of section 29; thence south along the city limits line of Mountlake Terrace and said line extended to the south margin of 228th Street S. W.; thence east along said south margin to an intersection with a line 16-1 /2 feet westerly of and parallel to the centerline of Pacific Northwest Traction Company R/W; thence southerly along said parallel line to the intersection of a line 120 feet northerly and parallel to the sotith line of Government Lot 5, Section 32; thence cast along said parallel line and line extended to the easterly margin of the shorelands adjacent thereto; thence southerly and easterly along said shoreland boundary to an intersection of the northerly production of the easterly margin of Lot 13, Block 8, Lake Ballinger Land Company's plat Subidivision No. 1 according to plat thereof; thence southeasterly along said lot margin to the southeast corner of said Lot 13i thence southerly to the most westerly corner of Block 9 of the above mentioned plat of Lake Ballinger Land Company's Plat Subdivision No. 1; thence south .'G feet to the south margin of Snohomish County; thence west along said south margin to an intersection with the easterly margin of P. S. H. No. 1; thence northerly along said easterly margin to an intersection with the north line of 228th Street S. W.; thence west to the intersection of 228th Street S.W. with the westerly margin of Primary State Highway No. 1 and the existing City Limits of Edmonds; thence northerly along said westerly margin of 1Primary State Highway NO. 1 and existing • City Limits of Fdmonds to the point of beginning, LESS the following described tracts constituting the site of the City of Mountlake Terrace Lake Ballinger Sewage Lift Station: A portion of lots 24 and 25 in Block 7 of Lake Ballinger Land Co.'s Plat Subdivision No. 1, recorded in volume 9 of plats on pages 57 and 58, records of Snohomish County, Washington, described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of said Lot 25 and running thence S 88025143'' east along the south line of said lot 25 a distance of 75 feet and thence N 47031'15' E 14. 38 feet to an intersection with the northerly margin of 244th St. S.W. (now 10.00 feet north of and parallel with the south line of said gots) and the part of beginning of this description; thence N 88025'43" W along said northerly margin of 244th St. S.W. 15 feet; thence N 21043'25' E, 63.91 feet; thence S 88025'43" E 55 feet; thence S 47031'15 W 86. 29 feet to the point of beginning; AND A portion of Lot 25 in Block 7 of Lake Ballinger Land Co.'s 1Plat Sub- division No. ', recorded in volume 9 of plats on pages 57 and 58, records of Snohomish County, Washington, described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of said Lot 25 and running thence S 88025143 east along the south line of said Lot 25 a distance of 75 feet and thence N 47°31' 15 E 14. 38 feet to an intersection with the northerly margin of 244th Street S.W. (now 10.00 feet north of and parallel with the south line of said lot) and the point of beginning of this description; thence continuing N 47031115* E 86. 49 feet; thence S 1 34117" W 35, u0 feet; thence S 47031115' W 35.95 feet; thence N 88025143" W along said northerly margin of 244th Street S.W., 36. 18 feet to the point of be- ginning; all situate in Snohomish County, State of Washington. Section 2. That Resolution No, 41y_ of the Edmonds Planning Commis - cion, and ]engineer's Drawing No. _% __ Z, three copies of which are attached • hereto and incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth herein, and three copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk, and all of which show the zoning of the above described property, be and the same are hereby adopted. Section 3. That the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Edmonds as set forth in Chapter 12.04 et seq., of the Edmonds City Code, and Official Map "Al"and'131' of said /City, he and the same are hereby amended to conform to said Resolution No. 7 of the Edmonds Planning Commission and Engineer's Drawing No. zoning said property in use districts Section 4. That the zoning of the real property hereinabove described into use districts as outlined in said Resolution and Engineer's map is hereby r; tified and confirmed. • Section 5_ That the City Engineer of the City of Edmonds is hereby directed to effect the necessary changes pursuant to this Ordinance.
