AN ORDINANCE. ANNE:UNG CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF EJMONDS
UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF 1945, CHAPTER 128, RCW SECTIONS
35.13. 130, 35. 13. 140 AND 35.13. 150 AS AMENDED AND COMPLYING WITH THE
PROCEDURE THEREIN SET FORTH.
• THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That there has been fi.l ed with the Citv Council a petition bi writ-
ing signed by the owners of more than 75% of the assessed value of said property ac-
cording to the assessed valuation of the real property described in said petition; that
said petition sets forth a legal description of said real property; that said petition was
accompanied by a plat or drawing outlining the boundaries of property sought to be
annexed; that prior to the filing of said petition, the City Council had indicated the
tentative approval of such annexation.
Section 2, That Tuesday, September 5, 1961, was set as a date for a public
hearing on said petition; that notice of such hearing has been published in the Edmonds
Tribune Review, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Edmonds; that notice
of such hearing was also posted in three public places within the territory proposed for
ANNEXATION; that said notices specified the time and place of such hearing ai.d invited
interested persons to appear and voice approval or disapproval of the annexation; that
the expense of publication and posting of notices, and all other expense of this annexa-
tion, is to be borne by the signers of the petition.
Section 3. That the following described property, located in the County of
Snohomish, State of Washington, to -wit:
Preview Homes Westgate Village, according to the plat thereof recorded
• in volume 20 of plats, page 28, records of Snoho-nish County, situate in
said County and State
be and the same is HEREBY ANNEXED to the City of Edmonds, effective the

Section 4. That pursuant to the terms of the annexation petition, the owners
of all property within the area annexed hereby are, individually and severally, to be
assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property in said
City of Edmonds to pay for any now outstanding indebtedness of said City, conteacted
prior to, or existing at, the date of annexation.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and publication according to law.
