AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE ASSESSMENT AND ASSESS-
MENT ROLL OF LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 113 FOR THE IMPROVE-
MENT OF CEDAR STREET, IN THE CITY OF EDMONDS, BETWEEN SEVENTH
AND NINTH AVENUES, AND EIGHTH AVENUE FROM CEDAR STREET TO THE
SOUTH SIDE OF SPRUCE STREET BY INSTALLATION OF STANDARD CURBS
AND GUTTERS AND PAVING WITH ASPHALTIC TYPE CONCRETE AND RELATED
WORK NECESSARY TO MAKE A COMPLETE IMPROVEMENT, ALL IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 162 OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
• WASHINGTON; LEVYING AN ASSESSMENT ON ACCOUNT THEREOF AGAINST
THE SEVERAL LOTS, TRACTS AND PARCELS OF LAND AS SHOWN ON SAID
ROLL; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS THEREFOR, AND FIXING
THE DATE OF THE ISSUANCE THEREOF; FIXING THE INTEREST RATE ON
THE BONDS TO BE ISSUED IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, AND FIXING THE
INTEREST RATE ON THE UNPAID ASSESSMENTS IN SAID LOCAL IMPROVE-
MENT DESTRICT NO. 113.
THE CITY" COUNCIL OF THE QTY OF EDMONDS DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1_ That the assessment and assessment roll of local improve -
me nt district No. 113 for the improvement of the following described property:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 1, block 3, Kellogg Plat of
Edmonds as recorded in vol 2, page 42, records of Snohomish County; thence
north to the northwest corner of Lot 1, block 1, said Kellogg Plat; thence east
to the northeast corner of lot 19, block 2, said Kellogg Plat; thence south 332.00
feet; thence west 194.00 feet; thence north to the southeast corner of lot 11, View
Manor, as recorded in vol 15, page 74, records of said County; thence northwesterly
to the southwest corner of said lot 11; thence northwesterly to the southeast corner
of lot 5, said View Manor; thence westerly to the southwest corner of said lot 5;
thence south to the southeast corner of lot 1, said View Manor; thence west to the
southwest corner of said lot 1; thence north to the extended south margin of block
3, aforementioned Kellogg Plat; thence west to the southwest corner of lot 30,
said block 3; thence north to the southeast corner of lot 11, said block 3; thence
west to the point of beginning, Snohomish County, Washington;
by installing standard curbs and gutters and by paving with asphaltic type concrete,
and any necessary grading or base preparation and related work necessary to make
a complete improvement in accordance Nith City standards, on Cedar Street, in
the City of Edmonds, between Seventh and Ninth Avenues, and on Eighth Avenue
from Cedar Street to the south side of Spruce Street,
all in accordance with Resolution of Intention No. 162 of the City of Edmonds and
Ordinance No. 935, as the same now stands, be and the same is hereby in all
is things approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each of the lots, tracts and parcels of land or other
property shown on said roll, is hereby declared to be specially benefited by said
improvement in at least the amount charged against the same, and that the assess-
ment appearing against the same is in proportion to the several assessments ap-
pearing upon said roll, and there is hereby levied an assessment against each lot,
tract and parcel of land and other property appearing upon said roll in the amount
finally shown and charged against the same there..,.
Section 3_ That the first day of August, 1963, be and the same is hereby
fixed as the date of the issuance of the bonds required to be issued on account of
said improvement.
• Section 4_ That the bonds to be issued in connection with and to pay the
costs of local improvement district No. 113 of the City of Edmonds have been
sold and shall be delivered locally.
Section 5_ That the intereet rate on the said bonds in said local im-
provement district 113 be and the same is hereby fixed at five (5%) per cent
per annum, and the interest rate on the unpaid assessments in said local im-
provement district 113 be and the s—me is hereby fixed at six (6%) per cent per
annum.
