AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF
EDMONDS UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF 1945, CHAPTER 126,
RCW SECTIONS 35.13. 130, 35.13. 140 and $5.13.150 AS AMENDED AND
COMPLYING WITH THE PROCEDURE THEREIN SET FORTH -_-__-
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That there has been filed with the City Council a petition in
• writing signed by the owners of more than 7516 of the assessed value of said prop-
erty according to the assessed valuation of the real property described in said
petition; that said petition sets forth a legal description of said real property;
that said petition was accompanied by a plat or drawing outlining the boundaries
of property sought to be annexed; that prior to the filing of said petition, the City
Council had indicated the tentative approval of such annexation.
Section 2. That Tuesday, Sr` --------- was was set as a
date for a public hearing on said petiton; that notice of such hearing has been
published in the Edmonds Tribune Review, a newspaper of general circulation
in the City of Edmonds; that notice of such hearing was also posted in three
publfc places within the territory proposed for annexation; that said notices
specified the time and place of such hearing and invited interested persons to
appear and voice approval or disapproval of the annexation; that the expense
of publication and posting of notices, and all other expenses of this annexation,
is to be borne by the signers of the petition.
Section 3. That the following described property, located in the County
of Snohomish, State of Washington, to -wit:
That p„rtion of Tract 146, lying westerly of Olympic View Drive,
together with 174th St. S. `'V. lying adjacent thereto, in the plat of
. MEADOWDAL.E BEACH, according to plat thereof recorded in
vol. 5 of piats, page 38, records of Snohomish County
be and the same is HEREBY ANNEXED to the City of Edmonds, effective the

Section 4. That pursuant to the terms of the annexation petition, the
owners of property within the area annexed are NOT to be assessed and taxed
at the same rate and on the 'same basis as other property in said City of

Edmonds to pay for :any now outstanding indebtedness of said City, contracted
prior to or existing at the date of annexation.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
