AN ORDINANCE LEVYING THE GENERAL TAXES FOR THE CITY OF EDMONDS
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 1964, ON ALL PROPERTY,
BOTH REAL AND PERSONAL, IN SAID CITY, SUBJECT TO TAXATION, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF RAISING SUFFICIENT REVENUES TO CARRY ON THE SEVERAL
DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE ENSUING YE_kR AS REQUIRED BY LAW;
AND PROVIDING FOR TILE COLLECTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, having heretofore
• adopted by Ordinance the final budget for the fiscal year 1964, and having further
ascertained the amounts necessary to be raised by taxation, which amounts do not
exceed the amount necessary to be raised by tsxation as specified in the preliminary
budget of said City, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That there shall be and hereby is levied on all real and personal
property in the City of Edmonds, subject to taxation, current taxes for the ensuing
year commencing January 1, 1964, the sum of $ 1,PV 739
Section 2. That in addition to the above levies for the ensuing fiscal year
1964, there shall be and hereby is levied, a , /ao9�mill property tax on an assessed
valuation of $1� 3.�1 9G� "� the purpose of which is to retire the outstanding
obligation incurred by the City after an affirmative vote of the citizens in favor of
the construction of Fire Station No. 2 for said City.
Section 3. That in addition to the above levies for the ensuing fiscal year
1964, there shall be and hereby is levied aa"A&,&mill property tax on an assessed
valuation of $f,3/3 ��f �, the purpose of w).ich is to retire the outstanding
obligation incurred by the City after an affirmative vote of the citizens in favor of
the construction of the Edmonds City Center.
• Section 4. That this ordinance shall be certified to the proper County officials,
as provided by law, and the taxes here levied shall be collected and paid to the City
Treasurer of the City of Edmonds, at the time and in the manner provided by the laws
of the State of Washington for the collection of taxee r third cl3sa;�ies.
