AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDSO' WASHINGTON
ANNEXING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO SAID CITY
PURSUANT TO THE PETITION METHODO REQUIRING SAID
PROPERTY TO BE ASSESSED AND TAXED AT THE SAME
RATE -AND BASIS AS OTHER PROPERTY WITHIN SAID
CITY,' AND FIXING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS;,,' the City of Edmonds received a Petition for
Annexation of certain real property,, the legal description
of which is set forth below, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds has
determined that tl-- City will require the assumption of
existing City indebtedness by the area to be annexed, and
WHEREAS,, the said City Council fixed the date of
June 20, 1967 as the date for public hearing thereon and
caused due and proper notice of said hearing to be posted
and published, and
WHEREAS, it was determined that it was not necessary
for the protection of the interests of the various parties
to follow the statutory review board procedure and the same
were dispensed with, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS* WASHINGTON,'
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There has been filed with the City Council
of the City of Edmonds, a Petition in writing signed by the
owners of more than 75/ in value, according to the assessed
valuation for General taxation of the property for which
annexation was petitioned; that said Petition sets forth a
legal description of said real property; that said Petition
was accompanied by a plat or drawing outlining the boundaries

of property sought to be annexed that said Petition set forth
the fact that the City Council of the City of Edmonds re-;
quired the assumption of City indebtedness by the area re-
quested to be annexed; that prior to the filing of said
Petition the City Council had indicated the tentative
approval of such annexation.
Section 2. Tuesday, June 20,, 1967, was set as a date
for public hearing on said Petition; Notice of such hearing
was published in the Edmonds Tribune Review., a newspaper of
general circulation in the City of Edmonds; notice of such
hearing was also posted in three public places within the
territory proposed for annexation; and said notice speci.
fied the time and place of such hearing and invited inter-
ested persons to appear and voice approval or disapproval of
the annexation.
Section 3. The territory proposed by said Petition to
be annexed to said City of Edmonds is situate in the County
of Snohomish in the State of Washington, is contiguous, prox.
imate and adjacent to the present corporate limits of said
City., and is particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the ncr thwest corner of Lot 14,,
according to the Plat of Bergquist Addition, as
recorded in Volume 15 of plats, page 105, records
of Snohomish County, Washington; thence south
0030"24" East 149.93 feet to true point of beginn-
ing; thence north 89051323" West 151.81 feet;
thence south 0019`=44" East 149.93 feet; thence
north 890511123" West to the west line of 100th
Avenue West (9th Avenue South); thence southerly
along the west right-of-way line '-'-of 100th Avenue
West to the westerly extension of the south right-
of-way line of 232nd Street S.W.; thence east on
the south right-of-way line of 232nd Street S.W. to
the southerly extension of the east lot line of Lot
7 of the Bergquist Addition; thence northerly to the
point of beginning.

Section 4. The territory set forth inihis Ordinance
and for which said Petition for Annexation is filed, should
be and is hereby made a. part of the City of Edmonds.
Section 5. Pursuant to the terms of the Annexation
Petition., all property within this territory annexed hereby
shall be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same
basis as property within the City of Edmonds for any now
outstanding indebtedness of said City., including assessments
or taxes in payment of any bonds issued or debts contracted.,
prior to or existing at the date of annexation.
Section 6. The area annexed hereby shall become a part
of the City of Edmonds, and this Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force, on the 5th day of July. 1967.
