AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL STREET MAP ADOPTED BY
SECTION 12.03.080 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE, BY
REDUCING THE PROPOSED RIGHT-OF-WAY ON 196th STREET
SOUTHWEST FROM 76th AVENUE WEST TO A POINT APPROXI-
MATELY 300 FEET WEST OF THE CITY LIMITS FROM 90
FEET TO 76 FEET AND BY REDUCING THE PROPOSED
RIGHT-OF-WAY ON 196TH AVENUE SOUTHWEST FROM A
POINT APPROXIMATELY 300 FEET'WEST OF THE CITY
LIMITS TO A POINT APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET EAST OF
81ST PLACE WEST FROM 90 FEET TO 60 FEET
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Planning Commission No.
580, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington,
called a Public Hearing regarding the reduction of the
proposed right-of-way on 196th Street Southwest from 76th
Avenue West to a point approximately 300 feet west of the
city limits from 90 feet to 76 feet and reduction of the
right-of-way and proposed right-of-way on 196th Avenue West
from a point approxmiately 300 feet west of the city limits
to a point approximately 100 feet east of 81st Place West
from 90 feet to 60 feet, and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of existing
neighborhood and traffic conditions, the City Council finds
the proposed amendment to be in the best interests of the
general health, safety and welfare of the public and further
finds in conformance with the Community Development's Depart-
ment recommendation that there are no significant adverse
environmental impacts all in accordance with Planning Com-
mission Resolution No. 580, now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Offical Street Map adopted by
Section 12.03.080 of the Edmonds City Code, as amended, is
hereby further amended by reducing the proposed right-of-way
on 196th Street Southwest from 76th Avenue West to a point
approximately 300 feet west of the city limits from 90 feet
to 76 feet and by reducing the proposed right-of-way on
196th Street Southwest from a point approximately 300 feet
west of the city limits to a point approximately 100 feet
east of 81st Place West from 90 feet to 60 feet, all as set
forth on Exhibit A, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated in fully by this reference, and by amending
Sheet 5, Section 18 and Sheet 9, Section 19 of Engineer's
Drawing No. 1.559 to conform with Exhibit A.
Section 2. The City Engineer is hereby authorized
and directed to amend Reid, Middleton & Associates Drawing
No. 1.599, Sheet 5, Section 18 and Sheet 9, Section 19 to
depict the revisions set forth in Section 1 hereinabove.

That said newspaper is -a legal newspaper of general
circulation and it is now and has been for more than
six (6) months prior to the date of publication here-
inafter referred to, printed in the English Language
continuously as a weekly newspaper in Edmonds, Snohomish
County, Washington, and it is now and during all of the said
time was published in an office maintained at the afore-
said place of publication of said newspaper. That the said
Edmonds Tribune Review was approved as a legal newspaper
by the Superior Court of Snohomish County, Washington.
