AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
VACATING A PORTION OF 196th STREET SOUTHWEST,
BETWEEN 80th AVENUE WEST AND 76th AVENUE WEST,
IN THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, a petition to vacate a street was filed
with the City Council of the City of Edmonds, signed by the
owners of more than two-thirds of the property abutting upon
property dedicated for street purposes, located in the City
of Edmonds, being a portion of 196th Street Southwest, be-
tween 80th Avenue West and 76th Avenue West, more particularly
described in the attached Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein
by this reference, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds
did by Resolution No. 400 of said City duly adopted on the
2nd day of May, 1978, set the 6th day of June, 1978, at the
hour of 7:30 p.m., of said day, for the hearing and deter-
mination on said vacation, and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that said
portion of 196th Street Southwest, between 80th Avenue West
and 76th Avenue West, should be vacated, and the said City
Council does hereby determine to vacate the same, as herein-
after set forth, and the City Council finding that there will
be no significant adverse environmental impacts, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described street in
the City of Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington, being a
portion of the 196th Street Southwest, between 80th Avenue
West and 76th Avenue West, legally described in Exhibit A,
attached hereto and incorporated in full by this reference
is hereby vacated.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to
file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the Snohomish
County Auditor.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five days after passage and publication by posting
as provided by law.
