AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 8.64.060 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE
TO IMPOSE TWO HOUR PARKING LIMITATION ON PORTIONS
OF DAYTON STREET AND THIRD AVENUE FROM 8:00 A.M.
TO 6:00 P.M. ON CERTAIN DAYS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds
has determined it to be in the best interest of the public
health, safety and general welfare to amend the time periods
during which the two hour parking limitations will be imposed
on certain streets as set forth below, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 8.64.060 of the Edmonds City
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"8.64.060 Schedule VI--Parkin_g time limited on
certain streets. In accordance with Section
8.48.160, and when signs are erected giving notice
thereof, no person shall park a vehicle for a
period of time longer than two hours between the
hours of eight a.m. and six p.m. of any day except
Sundays and public holidays within the district or
upon any of the streets as follows:
1. Main Street on both sides from Railroad Street
to 6th Avenue;
2. Dayton Street on both sides from 3rd Avenue to
6th Avenue;
3. Maple Street on both sides from 5th Avenue
North to 6th Avenue North;
4. 2nd Avenue on both sides from Dayton Street to
Bell Street;
5. 3rd Avenue on both sides from 120 feet South
to Dayton to Bell Street;
6. 4th Avenue on both sides from 120 feet South
of Dayton Street to Bell Street;
7. 5th Avenue on both sides from Walnut Street to
Bell Street;
8. 6th Avenue on both sides from Dayton Street to
Main Street."
Section 2. The Traffic Engineer is hereby author-
ized and instructed to have signs erected notifying the
public of the parking restrictions imposed by this Ordinance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five days after passage and publication by posting
as provided by law.
