AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 12.14.020(H)(2)(b) OF THE EDMONDS
CITY CODE TO ALLOW UP TO TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT OF
THE PARKING SPACES TO CONFORM TO COMPACT CAR
DIMENSIONS IN ALL ZONING CLASSIFICATIONS, IN CON-
FORMANCE WITH PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO.
605.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, called a public hearing, and during this hearing
having determined it to be in the best interests of the
public health, safety and general welfare to amend the
Edmonds Zoning Code as set forth below and having determined
that there will be no significant adverse environmental
impacts, all in accordance with Planning Commission Resolution
No. 605, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 12.14.020(H)(2)(b) of the
Edmonds City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
b. Compact Car Dimensions. Minimum standards for
off-street parking area lot dimensions shall be
not less than as shown on Figure 2, MINIMUM
PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPACT CARS. The
minimum compact car dimensions, as set forth in
Figure 2, may be utilized in all zoning classifi-
cations for up to twenty-five percent (250) of the
off-street parking spaces required by this zoning
code.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five days after passage and publication by posting
as proved by law.
