ORDINANCE NO. 2
AN ORDINAN, OF THE CITY OF E
DESIGNATING SNOHOMISH COUN
MANAGEMENT PLANNING AGENCY FOx 1-ML 1-11-1 IANU
AUTHORIZING SAID COUNTY TO PREPARE A PLAN FOR
INCLUSION IN THE COMPREHENSIVE SOLID WASTE
MANAGEMENT PLAN OF SAID ENTITIES, DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO FORWARD A COPY OF THIS
ORDINANCE TO THE COUNTY AJDITOR, PROVIDING FOR
THE EVOCATION OF SAID STATUS AND FIXING A TIME
WHEN TLE SAME SHALL BE EFFECTIVE
W::iREAS, the City desires t:) contract with Snohomish
County for ~_he preparation of a solid waste managemen- plan, and
WHEREAS, the County requires that it be designated as
the City's solid waste management planr,.ng agency in order to
prepare said plan, anc
WHEREAS, the City des es to make said designation while
reserving its right TO review and ac:ept or reject said plan or
terminate saic' designation, NOW, THEREFORE,
Section 1. Snohomish County is !.ereby 'esignated the
solid waste management planning agency ter the City of Edmonds
and is hereby authorized to prepare a plan °-- inclusicn in the
Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan of the County, provided
however, that said City Plan si.all not be effective nor included
in said County Plan until accepted and app-oved by the City
Council of the City of Edmonds.
Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to forward a copy
of this ordinance to the Snohomish County Au,,:=tor. The City
Council reserves the right to terminate said status by ordinance

at its discretion.
Section 3. This ordinance, bei-ig ar
