AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF ECC 8.48.330 TO
DECREASE THE MONTHLY FEE FOR SPACES IN THE FIFTH
AVENUE PARKING LOT TO TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS
($25.00) PER MONTH, PROVIDING FOR PREPAID FEES
AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The provisions of section 8.48.330 of the
Edmonds City Code Monthly Parkin2 Permits are hereby amended to
read as follows:
8.48.330 MONTHLY PARKING PERMITS.
Monthly parking permits shall be obtained from the city
clerk upon payment of the applicable fee. The fee for
monthly parking in the ferry parking lot shall be
twenty dollars ($20.00) per space. The monthly fee for
the public parking lot located near the intersection of
Fifth Avenue and Dayton and known as the "Fifth Avenue"
lot shall be Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) per month.
The monthly fee for all other lots shall be thirty-five
dollars ($35.00) per space. The permit shall contain a
permit number and an expiration date. When issued by
the city clerk, the monthly parking permit shall
authorize a vehicle to park in a pay parking lot for a
thirty (30) day period, ending on the expiration date
set forth on the permit.
Section 2. The fee decrease for the Fifth Avenue
parking lot shall be effective immediately provided that prepaid
permits shall remain in effect until the date of expiration shown

thereon and no refund shall be made with respect to such prepaid
permits.
Section 3. This ordinance, being an administrative
action, is not subject to referendum and shall take effect five
(5) days after this ordinance or a summary thereof consisting of
the title is published.
