ORDINANCE NO. 2830
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE OFFICIAL STREET
MAP TO INCLUDE EXTENSIONS TO EMERALD HILLS DRIVE
AND HIGHLAND DRIVE, ACCEPTING PUBLIC DEDICATION
THERE OF AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to File No. St-4-90, the Emerald
Hills Homeowners Associations have made application to amend the
official street map of the City of Edmonds in order to include
and dedicate existing private streets, and
WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the City's
Hearing Examiner and he has entered his findings of facts and
conclusions of law recommending amendment of the official street
map and the acceptance of dedication of the portion of Highland
Drive that extends from a cul de sac turn around and an extension
of Emerald Hills Drive;
WHEREAS, after public hearing, the Council deems it
appropriate to act on the Hearing Examiner's recommendation,
adopting his findings and conclusions as their own; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council hereby accepts a quit claim
deed for dedication of that portion of Emerald Hills Drive and
Highland Drive described in said quit claim deed, shown on the

attached Exhibit A and incorporated by this reference as fully as
if herein set forth.
Section 2. The Community Services Director or his
designee is hereby directed to amend the official street map of
the City of Edmonds in order to include described portions of
Emerald Hills Drive and Highland Drive as part of the official
street map of the City of Edmonds.
Section 3. This ordinance, being an exercise of a
power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after
passage and publication of the ordinance or a summary thereof
consisting of the title.

mutual benefits to be derived, convey and quit claim to the City of
Edmonds, a municipal corporation, the following described real estate,
situated in the County of Snohomish, State of Washington, including any
interest therein which grantor may hereafter acquire:
All that portion of Tract A of the Plat of Emerald Hills,
according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 31 of plats,
pages 46 through 49, records of Snohomish County.
Except those portions quit claimed to the City of Edmonds under
Auditor's File No. 7712020286 and except those portions designated
as "planter islands", according to said plat of Emerald Hills.
together with the right to make all necessary cut or fill slopes on the
land of grantor's adjacent to the above —described real property in
connection with the construction, maintenance or improvement of the
above —described real property for purposes of a public roadway.
