ORDINANCE NO. 2R38
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING ORDINANCE 2749 RELATING TO PAY OF
COUNCIL MEMBERS TO REVISE THE LIST OF MEETINGS
SUBJECT TO PAYMENT, AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE
SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council by ordinance number 2622,
2741 and 2749 has provided for the payment of City Council
members partially on the basis of Council meetings attended; and
WHEREAS, in ordinance number 2749 the City Council
adopted a list of meetings subject to payment; and
WHEREAS, certain meetings shown on that schedule no
longer exist and the Council wishes to insert other meetings
where a Council presence is required pursuant to law, ordinance,
interlocal agreement or other local understanding; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The schedule of meetings contained in
section 1 of ordinance number 2749 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Cultural Arts and Convention District,
Disability Board, Professional Consultant
Selection Committee, SnoCom, Snohomish County
Drug Enforcement Task Force, Snohomish County
Community Transit, Snohomish County Health
District, the Edmonds Visitors Bureau
Executive Committee and Medic 7.

The above schedule of meetings will be subject to payment in
accordance with the provisions of ordinance number 2749 as
amended to a maximum of seven meetings per month, including all
Council meetings attended.
Section 2. This ordinance, being an exercise of a
power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after
passage and publication of the ordinance or a summary thereof
consisting of the title.
