ORDINANCE NO. 2842
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE FEES SET FORTH IN SECTION
15.00.020(A) IN ORDER TO PROVIDE FOR A 5.5%
INCREASE TO REFLECT THE COST OF PROVIDING
SERVICES AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously established as
its policy that fees charged in the planning process should
recover the cost of administering various review processes and
programs; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that a 5.5% increase on such
fees is appropriate in order to recover its costs; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Edmonds Community Development Code
section 15.00.020, subsection A, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
15.00.020 APPLICATION FEES
A. Plannina Division.
1. Comprehensive Plan Change: $264.00
2. Condition Use Permit: $264.00 if
reviewed by the Hearing Examiner or
$85.00 if reviewed by the staff as
provided by this Code.
3. Design Review: $117.00 for projects
over 4000 square feet or 4 units,
whichever first occurs.
4. Home Occupations: $53.00

5. Housing For the Elderly: $32.00
6. Joint Use of Parking: $32.00
7. In Lieu of Parking (Review Fee
Only): $32.00
8. Planned Residential Development:
The fee shall be $607.00 plus $11.00
for each unit proposed. This fee
shall be a total fee for both
preliminary and final review.
9. Rezone: $264.00
10. Contract Rezone: $317.00
11. Setback Adjustment: $85.00
12. Sign Permit: $22.00 plus $2.00 per
square foot of sign area.
13. Shoreline Permit: $422.00 plus the
actual costs of advertisement.
14. Street Map Change: $370.00
15. Subdivisions:
a. Formal Subdivision: There
shall be one total fee for both
the preliminary and final plats
of $502.00 plus $11.00 per
lot. In the event that a sub-
division request is filed in
conjunction with a planned
residential development
application the fee shall be
reduced to $106.00 plus $11.00
per lot.
b. Short Subdivision: $127.00
plus $11.00 per lot
C. Lot Line Adjustment: $95.00
16. Variance: Applications in RS zone
or single family home wherever
located - $132.00. All others
$264.00.

17. Environmental Checklist: $48.00; no
fee if filed in conjunction with
another application for which a fee
is levied by this section.
18. Environmental Impact Statement:
Full cost of city review or
preparation.
19. Street Vacation: $396.00 plus cost
of appraisal (if compensation for
value of property vacated is
required, appraisal cost shall be
credited to such compensation up to
the amount of such compensation).
20. Extensions of time where authorized
by this code: 50% of original
application fee.
21. Permit Review (Section 20.100.040):
$159.00
22. Text Amendments to the Community
Development Code: $264.00
Section 2. This ordinance, being an exercise of a
power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after
passage and publication of the ordinance or a summary thereof
consisting of the title.
