ORDINANCE NO. 2844
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2834 VACATING A PORTION
OF THE PLAT OF AN UNBUILT RIGHT OF WAY OF BEESON
PLACE TO ESTABLISH A NEW TIME FOR PAYMENT,
CONFIRMING RECEIPT OF SUCH PAYMENT AND FIXING A
TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously approved
Ordinance 2834 vacating a portion of the easterly 25 feet of the
unbuilt right of way of Beeson Place; and
WHEREAS, in said ordinance the City Council established
June 30, 1991 as the date for payment of compensation for such
vacation;
WHEREAS, notice of the passage of the ordinance was not
timely provided to the applicant and the applicant therefore,
failed to tender payment within the time set for payment by
Ordinance 2834;
WHEREAS, said compensation payment has now been
tendered to the City in the sum set by Ordinance 2834; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said compensation
was established pursuant to the 1991 assessment figures which
remain valid for said property; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance 2834 is hereby
amended to extend the date for payment of compensation to the

City to July 31, 1991. Receipt of the sum of $8,416.00
previously established as compensation for the vacation of an
unbuilt portion of Beeson Place is hereby acknowledged and the
City Clerk is therefore directed to file a certified copy of this
ordinance with the Snohomish County Auditor.
Section 2. This ordinance, being an exercise of a
power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after
passage and publication of the ordinance or a summary thereof
consisting of the title which is hereby approved.
