ORDINANCE NO. L-
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING EXTENSION FOR CALENDAR
YEAR 1992 OF THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO.
2808 ESTABLISHING A SHARED LEAVE PROGRAM AND
FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council established by Ordinance No.
2808 a shared leave program, and
WHEREAS, the Council established this program as a pilot
program in order that it could establish a sufficient history to
determine the costs of the program to the City;
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it wishes to
continue said program for an additional year but does not yet
desire to make such program permanent given uncertainties regarding
its use and the City's financial ability to fund it in the future;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The shared leave program established by
Ordinance No. 2808 is hereby extended to and for calendar year 1992
and expiring December 31, 1992.
Section 2. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power
specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject
to referendum and shall take effect five (5) days after passage and
publication.
