ORDINANCE NO. 2929
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION
15.10.000 ELEMENTS ADOPTED, PARAGRAPH E TO
ADOPT A NEW CITY OF EDMONDS COMPREHENSIVE
PARKS, RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE PLAN - 1993
TO 1998 AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds as a part of its
Comprehensive Plan, Chapter 15.10 of the Edmonds Community
Development Code, adopts various elements of its Comprehensive
Plan, and
WHEREAS, the City through its staff, and Planning and
Parks Board and with the advice of a consultant has created a new
Comprehensive Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan for the years
1993 to 1998, and
WHEREAS, the City Council following public hearings and
discussion of the Plan has determined it to be in the public
interest to adopt the new Plan as revised as a Comprehensive Plan
element, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE.CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 15.10.000 ELEMENTS ADOPTED,
subparagraph E is hereby amended to reflect the adoption of new
Comprehensive Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan - 1993 to 1998
to read as follows:

15.10.000 Elements Adopted
E. The City of Edmonds Comprehensive Parks,
Recreation and Open Space Plan - 1993 to
1998.
Section 2. A copy of the adopted City of Edmond's
Comprehensive Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan - 1993 to 1998
is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated by this reference
as fully as if herein set forth. A copy of the Plan shall be
maintained in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection,
and such other locations as the Mayor may in her discretion
designate.
Section 3. Severability. If any section, sentence,
clause or phrase of this ordinance should be held to be invalid or
unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such
invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or
constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an
exercise of a power specifically delegated to the City legislative
body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5)
days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof
consisting of the title.
