ORDINANCE NO. 2705
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 20.105.060 OF THE EDMONDS CITY
CODE TO REFERENCE THE PENALTY PROVISIONS SET
FORTH IN CHAPTER 5.50 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE
AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the Edmonds City Council enacted Ordinance No.
2531 renumbering Chapter 5.45 of the Edmonds City Code as Chapter
5.50, and
WHEREAS, reference to Chapter 5.45 in section
20.105.060 of the Edmonds City Code needs to be changed to
reflect the new chapter number, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 20.105.060 of the Edmonds City Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
20.105.060 Penalties.
The Community Development Code (Titles 15, 16, 17,
18, 19 and 21) is an integral part of the Edmonds
City Code, but for convenience of users, copies
are separately published for sale and distribution
to the public. Any and all violations of any
portion of the Community Development Code shall be
subject to fine and/or imprisonment as set forth
in Chapter 5.50 of the Edmonds City Code. Where
civil remedies, such as assessment of costs and
liens, are prescribed by the Community Development
Code, they are not in lieu of criminal penalties,
or alternative to criminal penalties, but are
sanctions that may be imposed in addition to
criminal penalties.

Section 2. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance should be held to be invalid or
unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such
invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity
or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance, being an administrative
action, is not subject to referendum and shall take effect five
(5) days after publication of the attached summary which is
hereby approved.
