Ordinance 27410006.130.004 WSS/klt 07/25/89 ORDINANCE NO. 2741 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING COUNCIL SALARIES FOR COUNCILMEMBERS ELECTED TO SERVE OR APPOINTED TO FILL VACANCIES AND TERMS BEGINNING ON OR AFTER JANUARY 1, 1990, AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Each councilmember shall receive a salary equal to Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350.00) per month plus $50.00 for each official Council meeting, not to exceed seven meetings per month. Such seven meetings may include the City's annual budget meetings and its retreat. Section 2. The salary provided for in Section 1 shall apply to councilmembers elected to or appointed to fill vacancies for terms commencing on or Councilmembers completing or appointed commenced prior to December 31, 1989, provided for in Ordinance No. 2622. after January 1, 1990. to complete terms which shall receive the salary Section 3. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after passage and publication of the ordinance or a summary thereof consisting of the title.
