ORDINANCE NO. 2754
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 18.50.030 OF THE EDMONDS
MUNICIPAL CODE SO THAT PROPOSALS FOR CHANGES IN
STREET NAMES WILL BE HEARD AT CITY COUNCIL
MEETINGS ACCORDING TO ESTABLISHED CITY COUNCIL
PROCEDURES AND VOTED UPON BY THE CITY COUNCIL
AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 18.50.030 of the Edmonds Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Changes shall be processed as provided in Chapter
20.65, except that proposals for changes in street
names will be heard and voted upon by the City
Council. The proposal for the street name change
will be placed on the agenda for the City Council
meeting and heard according to the City Council's
established procedures.
Section 2. This ordinance, being an administrative
action, is not subject to referendum and shall take effect five
(5) days after publication of the attached summary which is
hereby approved.
