ORDINANCE NO. 2784
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE EDMONDS CITY CODE BY REPEALING ECC
8.16.060 REGULATING THE SPEED OF TRAINS AND
FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the Washington Utilities and Transportation
Commission controls the speed of trains within the state of
Washington and the limits of the city of Edmonds; and
WHEREAS, the City has no regulatory authority with
respect to setting or enforcing such speeds; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 8.16 of the Edmonds City Code is
hereby amended by the repeal of Section 8.16.060.
Section 2. This ordinance, being an exercise of a
power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after
passage and publication of the ordinance or a summary thereof
consisting of the title.
