ORDINANCE NO. 3000
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING CHAPTER 2.05 OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE TO REPEAL SECTION 2.05.010(B)
RELATING TO TERMINATION OF, THE CITY ATTORNEY
AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has deemed it appropriate to establish a contractual
relationship for the provision of attorney services to the City of Edmonds, and
WHEREAS, in the course of negotiation of that contract, provisions will be made
for the termination of that contract, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend Chapter 2.05 by the repeal of
Section 2.05.010(B), while at the same time reserving to it its legislative discretion to contract
and to terminate contracts for the provision of legal services, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Edmonds City Code Section 2.05.010(B) is hereby repealed.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an administrative action, is not
subject to referendum and shall take effect five (5) days after publication of an approved
summary thereof consisting of the title.
