ORDINANCE NO. 3 0 0 7
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES TO ESTABLISH A SALARY FOR THE
POSITION OF MAYOR OF $60,000 PER YEAR AND FIXING
A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time established a salary for the
position of Mayor for the City of Edmonds, and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that the current salary is not
commensurate with that paid in other communities, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to gradually bring the salary for the position
of Mayor into conformance with that of other cities by periodic review not of only for cost of
living increases but of increases necessary to bring the Mayor's salary into general parity with
that paid in other south Snohomish County communities, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The salary for the position of Mayor shall be increased to $60,000 per
year effective February 16, 1995 and continue at that level until amended by action of the City
Council by ordinance.

Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an administrative action, is not
subject to referendum and shall take effect February 16, 1995 after publication of an approved
summary consisting of the title on February 12, 1995.
