Ordinance 30690006.030.006D WSS /bjs /kjb /bjs 1/19/96 R: 02/14/96 ORDINANCE NO. 3069 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING THE SALARY RANGES FOR MANAGERS AND DIRECTORS, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 3008 TO THAT EXTENT; AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE. WHEREAS, RCW 35A.33.050 requires that the salary ranges for the various positions in the City be made a part of the annual budget document as a part of the adoption of an annual budget ordinance, and WHEREAS, the City Council Finance Committee met on January 9, 1996 to consider salary adjustments for the City's managers and directors, and has recommended a 5 % salary pool to be allocated by the Mayor for the Directors and Managers. WHEREAS, after review and discussion, the City Council has determined it appropriate to adjust salary ranges for certain personnel described in the attached schedule as managers and directors in order to provide a salary increase along with approval of a benefit package, and WHEREAS, in consideration of the benefit of the continued employment of the current and experienced personnel, the City Council deems it to be in the public interest to make such increases in salary effective January 1, 1996, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: - 1 - WSS121901 .10/F0006.030.006D/B0006. Section 1. To conclude adoption of the City's annual salary ordinance, the salary ranges and adjustments for managers and directors Pay Grades Al through B2 as shown in the attached Exhibit A are hereby approved: The total increases improved herein are delegated to the Mayor shall not exceed budget employees' salaries and wages for each department or division. Section 2. The amendments to the prior annual salary ordinance provided herein shall be effective January 1, 1996. Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an administrative action, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the title.
