ORDINANCE NO. 3114
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3054 TO
CORRECT A LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR THE FOREST
GLEN, ANNEXATION AREA AND FIXING A TIME WHEN
THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds, Washington adopted an ordinance annexing
the Forest Glen area by Edmonds Ordinance No. 3054 on November 28, 1995, and
WHEREAS, the legal description used to describe the Forest Glen annexation area
in Ordinance No. 3054 had minor errors relating to right -of -way clarification regarding 100th
Avenue (Firdale Avenue) and 100th Place S.W. as well as changes necessary to conform the
description to the area shown on the vicinity map, and
WHEREAS, a vicinity map was attached as Exhibit B to Edmonds Ordinance No.
3054 in which the annexation area was accurately portrayed, and
WHEREAS, to the best knowledge of the Council no one was misled by the
inaccurate legal description, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Exhibit A to Edmonds Ordinance No. 3054, is hereby repealed and
replaced with the legal description attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as
Exhibit A.

Section 2. Severability. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other
section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi-
cally delegated to the City legislative body, shall take effect five (5) days after passage and
publication of an approved summary and legal description of the annexation area.
