ORDINANCE NO. 3160
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, SPECIFYING THE REVENUE FUNDS TO
SERVE AS THE DEPOSITORIES OF THE REAL ESTATE
EXCISE SALES TAX AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE
SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the funds currently specified in the Edmonds City Code as the
repository for the real estate excise sales tax currently do not match City practices or state law
requirements, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A new Section 3.29.013 is hereby added to the Edmonds City Code
to provide as follows:
3.29.013 Creation of Special Capital Improvement Fund.
There is hereby created a special fund to be known as the "Special
Capital Improvement Fund," into which shall be deposited all
proceeds of the tax imposed by ECC 3.29.010.
Section 2. ECC 3.29.017 is amended to provide as follows:
3.29.017 Creation of Park Acquisition /Improvement Fund.
There is hereby created a special fund to be known as the "Park
Acquisition /Improvement Fund, " into which shall be deposited all
proceeds of the tax imposed by ECC 3.29.015.

Section 3. Severability. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this
ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other
section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an administrative action, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after publication of an approved
summary thereof consisting of the title.
