ORDINANCE NO. 3185
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE
ANNUAL SALARY ORDINANCE ADOPTED December 16,
1997 AS ORDINANCE NO. 3181 IN ORDER TO ADD A NEW
POSITION FOR LOANED EMPLOYEE - SNOCOM INTERIM
DIRECTOR, AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds has been asked to approve
an agreement to loan an employee to SNOCOM, an interlocal governmental agency in South
Snohomish County, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to approve an Interlocal Agreement for said
purpose while retaining the employee as an employee of the City of Edmonds, and
WHEREAS, the employee has agreed to be loaned, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The annual salary ordinance of the City of Edmonds for 1998,
Ordinance No. 3181, enacted on December 16, 1997 and in effect January 1, 1998 is hereby
amended in, but only in the following respects:
The position of Loaned Employee: Interim Director
of SNOCOM is hereby added as a nonrepresented
position of the City,. without a salary grade and
accorded an annual salary of Sixty Four Thousand
Thirteen Dollars ($64,013). This position shall
receive all benefits accorded a nonrepresented
employee of the City of Edmonds in the position of

Police Administrative Supervisor, pay grade E -14.
By interlocal agreement SNOCOM will reimburse
the City for all employee - related costs, including
salary, benefits and expense reimbursement
estimated for calendar year 1998 to total
$82,674.00.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi-
cally delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect
five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the
title.
