ORDINANCE NO. 3223
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, REPEALING SECTION 2.01.030 OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE TO REMOVE A LIMITATION ON
THE NUMBER OF TERMS A MAYOR MAY SERVE, AND
FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by legal counsel that Section
2.01.030 is in conflict with State law and should be repealed, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Edmonds City Code Section 2.01.030 Term Limitation is hereby
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi-
cally delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect
five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the
title.
