AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, VACATING A PORTION OF THE UTILITY
EASEMENT RESERVED IN THE STREET RIGHT -OF -WAY
OF 88TH PLACE WEST AT OR NEAR 20930 88TH PLACE
WEST, EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AND FIXING A TIME
WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Edmonds City Council on October
19, 1999 to determine whether a utility easement previously reserved in street right-of-way
vacated pursuant to Ordinance No. 1646 should itself be reduced and thereby partially vacated;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council, following public hearing, finds that there is no
reasonable likelihood that this easement is necessary for public use in its current size and
configuration, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A utility easement reserved pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1646 is hereby reduced in size from 12.5 feet to 7.50 feet over the western 81 feet of the
easement m accordance with the attached Exhibit A. By this action, the southerly 5 feet of the
reserved easement in the vacated right -of -way is itself vacated and the City retains and reserves a
utility easement in the remaining 7.5 X 81-foot strip located immediately adjacent to property
located at 20930 88h Place West..

five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the
title.
