ORDINANCE NO. 3306
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE CITY'S
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT,
BIKEWAY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND WALKWAY
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE
SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City has adopted its Comprehensive Plan pursuant to Ordinance
No. 3030, Ordinance No. 3133 and Ordinance No. 3174, and
WHEREAS, following public hearing and with the recommendation of its
planning board, the Edmonds City Council deems it appropriate to amend the transportation
element in order to adopt a new 2000 Bikeway Comprehensive Plan and to amend the JHK
Bikeway and Walkway Comprehensive Plan of 1992 to delete the bikeway element, leaving in
place the walkway elements, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Comprehensive Plan of the City of Edmonds adopted pursuant to
Ordinance Nos. 3030, 3133 and 3174, is hereby amended by the repeal of the bikeway portion of
the Bikeway and Walkway Comprehensive Plan of 1992 prepared by JHK, leaving in place the
walkway elements of said Plan and adopting a new 2000 Bikeway Comprehensive Plan from a
final draft dated April 2000 and attached hereto as Exhibit A, incorporated by this reference as
fully as if herein set forth.

Section 2. The City engineer or his designee is hereby authorized to prepare an
amended version of the 1992 Bikeway and Walkway Comprehensive Plan by JHK in order to
delete superceded portions of the Bikeway Plan which conflict with the previously adopted 2000
Bikeway Comprehensive Plan.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi-
cally delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect
five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the
title.
