ORDINANCE NO. 3310
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS FOR CITY -OWNED PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 230 SECOND AVENUE SOUTH FROM MIXED
USE COMMERCIAL TO PARK/OPEN SPACE,
AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN MAP AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, certain real property located at 230 Second Avenue South in the City
of Edmonds was originally designated for use in mixed use commercial purposes; and
WHEREAS, said property, which lies immediately south of and adjacent to the
Wastewater Treatment Plant has been purchased by the City, in part due to its character as a
wetland; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received the recommendation of its Planning
Board recommending that the property be designated for park/open space use in the City's
Comprehensive Plan, and
WHEREAS, following public hearing, the City Council finds it to be in the public
interest to do so, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Certain real property located at 230 Second Avenue South, south of
and immediately adjacent to the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant, shown and legally described

on the attached Exhibit A is hereby designated for Park/Open Space use and the current
Comprehensive Plan designation of mixed use commercial is hereby amended to reflect said use.
Section 2. The City's Development Services Director is hereby authorized to
amend the City's Comprehensive Plan Map in order to reflect said change in use designation.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi-
cally delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect
five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the
title.

On the 2nd day of May, 2000, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, passed
Ordinance No. 3310. A summary of the content of said ordinance, consisting of the title,
provides as follows:
