AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, RELATING
TO LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS NOS. 215 AND 216; AND
RATIFYING AND REENACTING ORDINANCES NOS. 3286 AND 3287,
APPROVING AND .CONFIRMING THE FINAL ASSESSMENTS AND
ASSESSMENT ROLLS IN THOSE RESPECTIVE LOCAL IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS, by Ordinances Nos. 3286 and 3287, passed December 14, 1999, after notice
and hearing in the manner provided by law, the City Council approved, levied and confirmed the
final assessments and assessment rolls in Local Improvement Districts Nos. 215 and 216,
respectively; and
WHEREAS, Initiative Measure No. 722, approved by the voters of Washington on
November 7, 2000, and effective December 7, 2000, purports to make null and void "any tax
increase adopted by the state from July 2, 1999, through December 31, 1999," which may include
the special assessments levied and confirmed by Ordinances Nos. 3286 and 3287; and
WHEREAS, in order to ensure that the special assessments levied and confirmed by
Ordinances Nos. 3286 and 3287 are effective as of January 1, 2000, and thereafter; NOW
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN as
follows:
Section 1. Ratification and Reenactment of Assessment Confirmation Ordinances. The
City .Council after due consideration hereby ratifies and reenacts Ordinances Nos. 3286 and

3287, levying, approving and confirming the final assessments and assessment rolls of Local
Improvement Districts Nos. 215 and 216, effective January 1, 2000.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance being an exercise of a power specifically
delegated to the City legislative body is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5)
days after passage and publication of this ordinance.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, at a regular open public meeting thereof, this 28th day of November, 2000.
