ORDINANCE NO. 3345
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE EDMONDS COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT CODE BY THE REPEAL OF SECTION
20.15A.280 IN ORDER TO DELETE REFERENCES TO THE
ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE AREAS MAP, AND
FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the Edmonds Planning Board has recommended the repeal of
Section 20.15A.280 referring to the environmentally sensitive areas map as a redundancy in light
of the City's critical areas regulations, and
WHEREAS, the Edmonds City Council finds said amendment to be consistent
with the City's Comprehensive Plan and in the best interests of the health, safety and welfare of
its citizens, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section L. The Edmonds Community Development Code is hereby amended by
the repeal of Section 20.15A.280 Environmentally Sensitive Areas.
Section 2. Until such time as amendments to the City's Shoreline Master
Program have been reviewed and approved by the appropriate state agency(ies), the
Environmentally Sensitive Areas Map shall be retained for use by and in the Shoreline Master
Program, but only for such program.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi-
cally delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect

five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the
title.
