ORDINANCE NO. 3509
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF ECC
3.04.080 CREDIT CARDS, AND ECC 3.04.090 RULES
AUTHORIZED, AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME
SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, Section 3.04.080 relating to City credit cards currently contains
individual per card and aggregate limits which are not in keeping with current economic practice
and the best interests of the City, and
WHEREAS, Section 3.04.090 refers to the "Finance Director" rather than the
"Administrative Services Director," and
WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the finance committee which
recommends amendment of the Section to delete the limits, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Edmonds City Code Section 3.04.080 Credit Cards is hereby
amended to read as follows:
3.04.080 Credit cards.
In accordance with the provisions of RCW 43.09.2855 as the same
exists or is hereafter amended, authorizing political subdivisions to
use credit cards for official governmental business, the
Administrative Services Director is hereby authorized to obtain
credit cards from the City's designated official bank. The Mayor
and his designee, the Administrative Services Director, shall

follows:
establish rules and procedures regarding the use of credit cards by
City employees for costs associated with official City business.
Section 2. ECC Section 3.04.090 Rules authorized is hereby amended to read as
3.04.090 Rules authorized.
The Administrative Services Director is authorized to adopt
reasonable rules and regulations for the operation and management
of the Advance Travel Expense Revolving Fund and to prepare
appropriate forms per transactions involving such fund.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi-
cally delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect
five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the
title.
