ORDINANCE NO. 3550
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, APPROVING THE REZONE OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY FRONTING THE SOUTH SIDE OF
EDMONDS WAY BETWEEN 97TH AVENUE WEST AND
95TH PLACE WEST FROM RS -8 (SINGLE - FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL) TO RM -1.5 (MULTI - FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL), AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME
SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council is in receipt of a request shown in File No. R -03-
195 to rezone certain property from RS -8 to RM -1.5, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received the favorable recommendation of its
Planning Board, and
WHEREAS, following public hearing, based upon the record before it and the
recommendation of its Planning Board, the City Council deems it to be in the public interest and
consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the criteria of its Community Development
Code to rezone said property, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Certain real property located on the south side of Edmonds Way
between 97th Avenue West and 95th Place West, described on the attached Exhibit A and
referenced_ in File No. R -03 -195, is hereby rezoned from RS -8 (Single - Family Residential) to
RM -1.5 (Multi - Family Residential). Exhibit A is incorporated by this reference as fully as if
herein set forth. For its findings of fact and conclusions, the City Council hereby adopts the

recommendation of its Planning Board and incorporated staff report as contained in the record of
this proceeding.
Section 2. The Community Services Director is hereby authorized to effectuate
changes to the City's zoning map to reflect the rezone approved by this ordinance.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi-
cally delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect
five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the
title.
