ORDINANCE NO.3560
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, REZONING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED ALONG EDMONDS WAY FROM SINGLE-
FAMILY AND MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (RS-8 AND
RM-1.5) TO MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (RM-1.5) AND
COMMUNITY BUSINESS (BC) AND FIXING A TIME WHEN
THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, an application R-05-44 was filed with the City requesting that
certain real property located at the northwest corner of 232nd Street SW and at 23012, 23014,
23028, 23100 and 23110 Edmonds Way, Edmonds, Washington be rezoned from single-family
and multi -family residential (RS-8 and RM-1.5) to multi -family residential (RM-1.5) and
community business (BC), and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the Edmonds Planning Board, and
based upon that hearing and the presentation of staff, the Planning Board made a favorable
recommendation to the City Council with regard to the rezone application, and
WHEREAS, the matter came on before the City Council for a closed record
hearing on July 5, 2005, and
WHEREAS, based upon the hearing, the recommendation of the City's Planning
Board, and the evidence contained in the record, the City Council finds the rezone to be in the
public interest and adopts the findings, conclusions and recommendations set forth in the report
dated May 17, 2005 and attached to the City Council's packet for the hearing as Exhibit 2,
NOW, THEREFORE,

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Certain real property located at the northwest corner of 232nd Street
SW and 23012, 23014, 23028, 23100, and 23110 Edmonds Way and further described in File
No. R-05-44 and Exhibit A to this ordinance, incorporated by this reference as fully as if herein
set forth, is hereby rezoned from single-family and multi -family residential (RS-8 and RS-1.5) to
multi -family residential and community business (RM-1.5 and BC) in accordance with the
attached Exhibit A.
Section 2. The Planning Manager is hereby authorized to amend the City's
zoning map to reflect said changes.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi-
cally delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect
five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof consisting of the
title.
