AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON CREATING A NEW FUND TO BE
CALLED THE SPECIAL PROJECTS FUND AND
FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BE
EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds occasionally initiates projects that are one -time
or short-term in nature; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds may receive grant funds for such projects; and,
WHEREAS, such projects may require separate accounting of revenues and
expenditures; NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Administrative Services Director is hereby authorized to create
and number a new fund to be known as the Special Projects Fund for the purpose of
accounting for the revenues and expenditures of projects that are one -time or short term
in nature.
Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power
specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall
take effect five (5) days after passage and publication of an approved summary thereof
consisting of the title.
