AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 7.50.050 RATES AND CHARGES, SECTION A,
RELATING TO STORMWATER RATES IN ORDER TO
INCREASE THE RATES, AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE
SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, public hearings have been held before the Edmonds Planning Board
and the Edmonds City Council regarding the City's Storm and Surface Water Management Plan,
and
WHEREAS, the projected increased costs of operation of the system are in large
part attributable to unfunded federal mandates and other requirements, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the public interest to increase the
rates to be consistent with upcoming changes in the City's Storm and Surface Water
Management element of the Comprehensive Plan and in order to provide necessary staffing to
comply with federal and state requirements, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Edmonds City Code Section 7.50.050 Rates and Charges, Section
A, is hereby amended to read as follows:
7.50.050 Rates and charges.
A. The following rates shall be charged on all buildings with
respect to the following customers and /or service.

Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power specifi-
cally delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject to referendum, and shall take effect
